Annual Memorial Day Ceremony going Virtual

This year’s annual Memorial Day ceremony is going virtual in response to the city’s Phase One Reopening Plan. The ceremony will debut on Buckeye’s Special Events Facebook page at 9 a.m. on May 25.

As in previous years, the ceremony will still honor all service personnel who paid the ultimate price for the country and feature:

• Keynote speaker - Scott W. Lowe, Lt. Commander, CEC, USN (Retired) and Buckeye’s Public Works Director
• Posting of Colors – Buckeye Fire Dept.
• POW/MIA Table and Bell Ceremony – John & Donna Busby
The event is a collaboration from the Buckeye Patriotic Committee that includes members from the city, the American Legion, Buckeye Elks, Daughters of the American Revolution, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.
